Pretty much everyone has seen the Disney Pixar film “Cars”. It’s about a car, named Lightning McQueen, rising from Rookie to skilled driver. He has a lot to learn along the way and much growing up to do. The film is a great movie, and though it is never specifically said that it is based off of NASCAR, you can see many similarities in them.
First of all, there’s the Piston Cup series. That sounds a lot like the Winston Cup series, which was the name of the current “Sprint Cup” series.
2. There’s “the king”. Obviously this is supposed to be like Richard Petty!
3. The announcer cars sounds just like the announcer guys in real NASCAR. I think they might be the same voices, including Darrel Waltrip.
Watch the movie and you will see a lot of other similarities…..
